St John of God Marillac is a provider of specialist disability accommodation homes across the metropolitan region of Melbourne.
We provide a range of accommodation options within a range of existing home. We are also building new disability homes,as part of our Innovative Housing Strategy, which are fitted with assistive technology and equipment. These technology principles give our clients more choice and independence.
St John of God Marillac is a wholly owned entity of St John of God Health Care dedicated to providing accommodation services for people with a disability.We are a Mission and Values based organisation in practice. We constantly review and develop practices and policies so that they do not disenfranchise any person we support or our partners.
Innovative housing
We recently completed construction (July 2019) of a new, technology-enabled home in Brighton East, south of Melbourne designed for five people with complex intellectual disabilities. The investment of more than $2 million for land, building and technology demonstrates how we are leading the way in how we support people in housing.
We are now in the process of building 10 new specialist disability homes.
The Brighton East home, constructed to Special Disability Accommodation (SDA) standards, coupled with technology enhancements has provided valuable insights into the design of the next 10 homes we are building. Construction on these new homes is already underway.
All our homes comply with NDIS standards as part of our strategy.
